Narcotics Detection Device Reimbursements

OVERVIEW

The Washington Counties Risk Pool is proud to announce a reimbursement program for narcotics detection devices to be utilized in county jails. The WCRP Board of Directors has approved $125,000 that will be split into ten (10) $12,500 reimbursements on a first come, first served basis (limit 1 per member county). If less than ten (10) applications are received and approved during the reimbursement period outlined below, any remaining funding will be equally split and distributed to those who've submitted and have been approved for reimbursement, not to exceed the purchase price of the device.

This program is for reimbursement only, and each member county is responsible for carrying out the procurement process including the RFP process if applicable. The WCRP will reimburse counties using the request form linked below. Each request will be reviewed for approval by a three-person panel consisting of WCRP staff members.

Each member county has six months to request reimbursement which will commence on October 1, 2023, and end on March 31, 2024. Only those devices purchased between October 1, 2023, through March 31, 2024, will be eligible for the $12,500 reimbursement and any remaining funding. Extensions to the above timeline may be approved on a case-by-case basis and subject to a waitlist.
