Online Corrections Training Reimbursements

OVERVIEW

Washington Counties Risk Pool members are eligible for reimbursement of their one-time implementation fee and the annual cost per user license paid to the National Institute for Jail Operations (NIJO) for access to the Detention And Corrections Online Training Academy (DACOTA) when 25% of their corrections officers have successfully completed 40 hours of the academy within the same calendar year.

The National Institute for Jail Operations (NIJO) developed the Detention & Corrections Online Training Academy (DACOTA) to provide detention and correctional administrators, supervisors and line level officers with easy access to interactive and engaging online jail training. DACOTA curriculum is based on applicable case law to ensure course content is defensible and current to what the courts will require of those who operate detention and correctional facilities.

To learn more about the academy or to request a quote for your corrections agency, please contact NIJO directly by emailing agencydevelopment@jailtraining.org.

At this time, only county jails are eligible for reimbursement. Please note, that 2024 is the inagural year for online corrections training reimbursements, and eligibility requirements for ongoing annual reimbursements may change in following years.
