Inmate Health Monitoring Program

OVERVIEW

The Board of Directors has approved immediate funding to enhance medical care in county jails, with a focus on preserving lives and improving the efficiency of healthcare delivery to inmates. Each member county is eligible for reimbursement of up to $25,000 to implement innovative devices aimed at reducing critical medical incidents. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to addressing and minimizing tragic occurrences in our member county correctional facilities.

Counties can choose between two effective solutions: individual health monitoring bracelets that track inmate well-being or advanced RFID ceiling-mounted contactless health monitoring sensors for single cell use. These initiatives aim to enhance safety and health monitoring within county facilities, ultimately working toward a goal of preventing jail deaths.

We encourage all member counties to take advantage of this funding opportunity to implement these vital technologies and improve the safety of our jail environments.
